Fellowship :: Cal Hacks
Major League Hacking 2020 Hackathon Season

From Ideation to Creation.

Cal Hacks Fellowship is our way to ensure that the best projects don't sit stale after Cal Hacks, but instead have a chance to grow and become something bigger than the hackathon.

Fellowship Workshop

The Program

The fellowship is a 12-week idea accelerator program that invites teams from Cal Hacks to continue building their Cal Hacks project to whatever stages the teams want to take it next. We offer one-on-one mentorship, workshops around topics in entrepreneurship, direct interactions with industry professionals and venture capitalists, office space at The House, equity-free grants, and a chance to present at a Demo Day every spring with Berkeley's entrepreneurship community in attendance.

Fellowship Team

Our Teams

Our past fellows have started popular open source projects, founded nonprofit organizations, and gone on to build startup companies at other Berkeley entrepreneurship programs like LAUNCH, Berkeley SkyDeck, and The House. Our past guests at workshops and office hours have included members of Berkeley SkyDeck team, VC's from Dorm Room Fund, Contrary Capital, Ironfire Ventures, Arrow Capital, Y Combinator, and founders of Berkeley-based startups in the past. Our fellows also had a field trip to Y Combinator's offices to talk with their partners.
